@tatarize Going back to the SVG 1 definition of "markable elements" is certainly another option, at least for SVG 2, given the lack of browser implementations so far. But yes, either way: the shapes all need to be closed for the purpose of stroking and anything else that distinguishes between open and closed shapes/subpaths.
