Regarding the fact that "segment-completing closepath" does not currently exist in the SVG 2 path syntax: it's unfortunate that, for now, the equivalent paths of curved shapes will include path segments that cannot be specified in the path data syntax. However, the equivalent paths are not directly exposed (only marker/dashing behavior is observable), so it was decided that it was best to keep the equivalent paths specification using the ideal behavior, rather than to lock us in to the sub-optimal marker placement. -- GitHub Notification of comment by AmeliaBR Please view or discuss this issue at https://github.com/w3c/svgwg/issues/753#issuecomment-560140352 using your GitHub account
