It was obviously not discussed whether to special case `transparent` 
to create two color stops as [mentioned 
earlier](https://github.com/w3c/svgwg/issues/180#issuecomment-229258021)
 interpolating with the previous and next stops. See also the [related

www-style](https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-style/2016Apr/0175.html).
