I'd say this was better asked in the www-svg mailing list -- this mailing list seems to be more targetted at SVG initiatives and growing SVG adoption than to technical matters. :-) Overall, it sounds to me that this will tightly depend on the way multi-threaded rendering is implemented, that is, on how the paralelization is made (for examples, threads for rendering indivitual shapes or threads for rendering screen regions). Providing more information in a follow up would enable people with expertize in this area to provide more feedback.
