Clean Coffee - an synchronous informal meetup in US time and Indian timezones

Hey sustainable web folks.

Thanks for the feedback about carbon.txt that i shared a few weeks back -
it was really useful.

*Saying hello (almost) in person*

If you know me, you might know I help run an slack group at
ClimateActionTech, mainly to chat with other people in tech who are also
thinking about the climate change impacts in what they do, and one thing
that came out of that is an informal remote meetup called *Clean
Coffee *(Climate
Lean Coffee <http://leancoffee.org/>, geddit?).

We've run it a few times in the European timezone, but we're experimenting
with doing on in the US West Coast timezone, as well as the Indian time
zones.

India took off pretty fast and we're almost already out of space after
announcing it yesterday:

Here's the link for the Indian timezone version

We still have a few spaces for the US West Coast one, run by Alex Glowalski
<https://twitter.com/glowascii/>.

*What we might talk about*

You can see what we discussed at previous events
<https://medium.com/clean-coffee>, as we blog them normally, but there's
few things of late I'd be interested in chatting about with you folks too -
stuff like:

   - the w3C ethical web principles
   <https://www.w3.org/2001/tag/doc/ethical-web-principles/> and them
   mentioning sustainable web
   - Sustainable Web Manifesto <https://www.sustainablewebmanifesto.com/>
   - Open Data releases from the Green Web Foundation
   <https://www.thegreenwebfoundation.org/green-web-datasets/>
   - Microsoft's devrel team's new interest in sustainable web
   <https://twitter.com/seldo/status/1141238608172421121>
   - the new Mobile Efficiency Index from GreenSpector in France
   <https://mobile-efficiency-index.com/en/>
   - this wild Kubernetes Scheduler that automatically schedules computing
   jobs around the world, wherever the grid is greenest at a given point in
   time <http://ceur-ws.org/Vol-2382/ICT4S2019_paper_28.pdf>
   - Wholegrain Digital's open source, CC-BY sustainability policy
   <https://granary.wholegraindigital.com/sustainability-policy/>
   - Jack Lenox's recent sustainable web talk at Wordcamp Europe

Anyway the next one is at noon on Friday US Pacific time, and the next is
next Friday.

If there's interest in more US ones, I'm up or running one in in mid/late
July too.
