Hey folks, I've been looking for public sustainability policies for small companies, and Tom Greenwood of Wholegrain Digital share this with me. I had no idea they had in addition to the sustainable web manifesto: https://granary.wholegraindigital.com/sustainability-policy It's cool that there are small companies listing this, and the targets seem clear, and even have a timeline on them: Environmental targets: To complement the above initiatives, we have two > overarching targets to guide our environmental approach. > > - Increase the proportion of our clients’ websites powered by > renewable sources to 50% by 2020 and 100% by 2026. > > > - Strive for carbon neutral status by reducing our carbon emissions > from operations by 10% annually, with the aim of becoming a zero carbon > business by 2026. > > I'm thinking of using this as a basis for sample policy text for this Climate Code of Conduct <https://docs.google.com/document/d/1pLXw1Qw69zeir3bTM3sbUkszy_RKN5qtWuP-jEbl5BU/edit#>, that I'm involved in working on, and I wanted to check, as I hadn't seen concrete targets with explicit targets and dates they are aiming towards. If you don't already have a target, and you're in a management or senior position in an SME, what would stop your company being able to agree to publicly stating a target like this?
