Axel Plathe, UNESCO, Communication and Information Sector UNESCO recruits junior expert in universal access to information 21-08-2008 (Paris) The post of an Assistant Programme Specialist with expertise in universal access to information and information preservation is presently open for recruitment at the Information Society Division of UNESCO’s Communication and Information Sector. The major responsibilities of the post are to assist in the implementation of activities related to promoting universal access and preservation and to provide assistance for the development and expansion of the Memory of the World Programme. Candidates to the post must have advanced university degree in communication and/or information and at least 2 to 4 years of relevant professional experience in communication and/or information. A combination of relevant professional qualifications/certification and experience (minimum 2 years) in the field of communication and information may be taken into consideration in lieu of advanced degree. Candidates must have excellent knowledge of English or French and good knowledge of the other.
