CG chair election - call for candidates

Hello community,

Two co-chair seats are up for election in the upcoming weeks. Following
the CG charter
https://www.w3.org/community/solid/charter/#choosing-a-chair

First of all, I (elf Pavlik) would like to express my gratitude to
Michiel and Hadrian, who have been serving the community as CG chairs
over the last two years. Both of them are eligible for another term.
Both Michiel and Hadrian confirmed that they will not be seeking
re-election.

Starting today, until November 19th (a two-week period), anyone who
would like to volunteer to take up the responsibilities of Solid CG
co-chair, please start a **new email thread** on this mailing list with
your candidacy. This way, the community can engage with you to
potentially ask questions.

Besides a short introduction of your background and your current
involvement in Solid and Solid CG, we encourage you to share your honest
view on the current state of the community group and your ideas for the
positive impact you would make.

During the next two weekly CG meetings we will also allocate time for
real-time conversations with the candidates. Therefore, everyone who
sends in their candidacy, or is considering it, is strongly encouraged
to send the nomination email early and join the CG meetings on November
12th and November 19th.

On November 19th we will know if the number of candidates is the same as
the number of seats. If it is, the seats will simply be allocated
without the need for voting; otherwise, we will go into the voting
phase.

If we run a voting, all the candidates, together with the current CG
chairs, will share the effort of running the election. In that case, at
least 6 people will be self-assigning to various required tasks. This
will be a good opportunity for all candidates to start taking on
co-chair responsibilities.

Best regards,
elf Pavlik, Hadrian, and Michiel
