Hi all, This is an announcement about the CG chair election as per the Solid CG charter [1]. As part of the Solid CG Chair Election Procedure [2], we are now in the process of coming up with the final eligible voter list by end of 2023-11-14. We want to ensure that affiliations get to cast a ballot by their preferred representative. As per CG charter, affiliated participants get one vote. There is thus one eligible voter per group of affiliated participants. By default the representative from an affiliation with more than one participant is the one with the smallest user id (based on W3C API). Affiliations have the right to choose another representative in place of the default by making a request to update [3] by 2023-11-14. The list of affiliations with more than one participant in the CG is as follows (for your convenience): Adobe Aggadom Brickdoc Defense Information Systems Agency Digita Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) Ghent University Graphmetrix, Inc. Inrupt Inc. Institut National de Recherche en Informatique et en Automatique (Inria) Janeiro Digital Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Muze OpenLink Software Inc. REDPENCIL Sakak Startin'blox Universidad Politécnica de Madrid W3C WU (Wirschaftsuniversität Wien) - Vienna University of Economics and Business The final list of eligible voters will be based on the official list of CG participants collected from the W3C API [4], and the code for it is available from [5]. This information is also available from [6][7]. Thus, everyone is welcome to review the code and data, and if you notice any errors, please inform us (CG) with your findings. There will be a follow-up email on 2023-11-15 for chair nominations where anyone can "self-nominate to make a statement regarding their background and why they are running, on the group mailing list" if they would like to serve the CG as a co-chair. Additional ways to engage with the CG is possible as mentioned in [2]. If you have any questions or comments, please join us in chat [8] or CG weekly meeting [9].
