A recognized reference scheme in an SML reference MUST NOT resolve to more than one target. 4.2.2 Consistent References If a non-null SML reference contains multiple reference schemes, all recognized reference schemes MUST resolve to the same target or they all MUST be unresolved. This should be clarified in the text of the appendix
