As confirmed during the call, we'll continue to collect information
around existing standards related to the Web-based Digital Twins for
Smart Cities on our GitHub repository:
  https://github.com/w3c/smart-cities/

Also we'll invite key stakeholders from related SDOs to our monthly
calls for further collaboration.

The next monthly call will be held on May 26.

Meeting minutes

  Logistics

Koster: we have a separate topic for schedule today
   ¡K any other specific topic?

Kaz: just to make sure, next call should be May 26

   Koster: right
   ¡K (quickly shows the "schedule.md")
   ¡K any other items?

   (none)

  Minutes

   [18]Mar-24

     [18] https://www.w3.org/2025/03/24-smart-cities-minutes.html

   Koster: (goes through the minutes)
¡K our monthly calls will be held on the 4th Monday of the month
¡K probably we should send out a reminder beforehand, preferably
   on Friday
¡K (continue to skim the minutes)
   ¡K any comments?

   (none)

   Koster: minutes approved

  Review GitHub PRs

   [19]PRs

     [19] https://github.com/w3c/smart-cities/pulls

    PR 1

   [20]PR 1 - Update technology-categories.md

     [20] https://github.com/w3c/smart-cities/pull/1

   McCool: fixed a typo
¡K regarding the 2nd point, we should say "Geospatial data"
   instead of "Geolocation"

   Koster: yeah
   ¡K make sense
¡K spatial model for parking lot use case, etc.

   (some discussion about "knowledge graphs")

Koster: we can just merge this for further discussion

   Kaz: +1

Koster: (goes through "Time series and measurements")
   ¡K (also "Visualization")

Kaz: note that there is another resource around existing
   standards from external SDOs (=resources.md)
¡K and we should think about the relationship between this
   (=tchnology-categories.md) and that (=resources.md)
¡K also we should think about some specific use cases which
refer back to these tech categories

   Koster: exactly

   Koster: (then "Analytics and automation")

   (merged)

    PR 2

   [21]PR 2 - Add ECHONET resources to resources.md

     [21] https://github.com/w3c/smart-cities/pull/2

   Koster: already identified resources. right?

Kaz: yes, presented by Mr. Matsuda from ECHONET several times

   (merged)

    PR 3

   [22]PR 3 - Add IEC SC3D resources to resources.md

     [22] https://github.com/w3c/smart-cities/pull/3

Koster: typo around the section title...
   ¡K (fixed it)

   (merged)

    PR 4

[23]PR 4 - Add resources on IPA DADC to resources.md

     [23] https://github.com/w3c/smart-cities/pull/4

Kaz: they're working on smart building
¡K and now launching a new consortium
¡K but their Web pages are not yet available
¡K so would add a bit old resources in Japanese as a starting
   point

   Koster: that's fine

    PR 5

   [24]PR 5 - Add resources on ISO/IEC JTC1 WG11

     [24] https://github.com/w3c/smart-cities/pull/5

   (merged)

Kaz: note that we've started liaison with SC41 also
¡K would ask Torbjorn about their resources too

   Koster: ah, yes

    PR 6

   [25]PR 6 - Add ITU-T SG20 resources to resources.md

     [25] https://github.com/w3c/smart-cities/pull/6

Kaz: note that they have many documents :)

   Koster: right
¡K they also provide specifications around "Web of Things"

   Kaz: probably from their viewpoint

   (merged)

McCool: would have another entry for ETSI/FIWARE around NGSI-LD

   Kaz: yeah

    PR 7

   [26]PR 7 - Add OGC resources to resources.md

     [26] https://github.com/w3c/smart-cities/pull/7

Kaz: they provide various specifications for various technology
   categories
¡K some are strongly related to McCool's proposed tech
   categories

   Koster: right

   (merged)

  NGSI-LD

   [27]resources.md

     [27] https://github.com/w3c/smart-cities/blob/main/resources.md

Kaz: maybe we can merge "ETSI" and "FIWARE" for NGSI-LD

Koster: who generates the NGSI-LD standard itself?

   Kaz: that's ETSI

Koster: ok. in that case, would add a link for NGSI-LD to ETSI
   section.

McCool: think we can add a link to the NGSI-LD liaison from the
   WoT side

   <McCool> GitHub repository on NGSI-LD liaison: [28]w3c/
   wot-ngsi-ld

     [28] https://github.com/w3c/wot-ngsi-ld

   <McCool> more specifically, resouces on NGSI-LD: [29]https://
   github.com/w3c/wot-ngsi-ld/blob/main/resources.md

     [29] https://github.com/w3c/wot-ngsi-ld/blob/main/resources.md

McCool: the above link of "WoT/NGSI-LD Liaison" to be applied
instead of copying all the identical links

Koster: (adds a link for that)

   [30]resouces.md - ETSI section

     [30] https://github.com/w3c/smart-cities/blob/main/resources.md#etsi

Koster: any issues with the resources.md at the moment?

   (none)

  Monthly calls

Kaz: would start to invite key stakeholders from related SDOs
   ¡K e.g., JTC1, IEC, ITU-T, ...

Kaz: as you know, the IEC ontology workshop has been postponed
   till November
¡K so I'd suggest we invite the speakers from their workshop to
   our monthly calls
¡K and we participate in their workshop in November
¡K then we invite them again to our TPAC meeting

   Koster: sounds great!

  Schedule

   [31]schedule.md

     [31] https://github.com/w3c/smart-cities/blob/main/schedule.md

Koster: (goes through the basic schedule)

Kaz: invite stakeholders to our monthly calls

   Koster: then TPAC in November
¡K December meeting will be cancelled

Kaz: note that after my generating this basic schedule, I've
started to feel that we should concentrate on our basic survey
on existing standards collaboratively with relates SDOs
¡K then for the next Charter period we should work on concrete
   use case discussion

   Koster: makes sense
   ¡K any other comments here?

   (none)

  AOB?

Koster: any other business for today?

   (none)
