== Summary == * Reminder that US and Canada daylight savings time begins March 14 so W3C meetings for the rest of the world change. Check the link in the email and on the web page with the link to the Zoom call for world clock calculations. * Chuck gave a followup report that new task forces are created by Working Groups, they are not started on their own. * We discussed Github Issue 240 on changing the disability model from medical to social. This was a "sense of the group" conversation so that a proposal could be written. While the group endorsed the social model, there was hesitation to move totally to a social model because: o The rest of the world hasn't transitioned to a social model so that we should balance and include both o The phrasing suggested by the commenter "inaccessible websites disable people" implies that people are not disabled when they stop browsing, which does not recognize the reality of disabilities. o Some preferred to say that websites are built in a way that is a barrier to people. o Charles Hall emailed a proposed change to the Requirements document <https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-silver/2021Mar/0013.html> before the meeting, but the commenter wanted a change to the Introduction o Accessibility as a Civil Right is predicated on the medical model and we do not want to lose that. * Jennifer and Peter agreed to write a proposal for a change to the Introduction and a response to the commenter * The Errors subgroup gave an update on their proposed Outcomes and Guidelines <https://docs.google.com/document/d/1JEMptWtJ68pxrlbBukcUi5zwTrDNhftfOCCpN8ehET4/> .
