Dear Colleagues: I am pleased to announce that I have joined the Accessibility Guidelines Working Group (AGWG) and the Silver Taskforce of AGWG as a consultant for and representative of Amazon. I may also be joining the Accessibility Conformance Testing TF in my role representing Amazon. In AGWG and the Silver TF I will be communicating from this amazon.com email address: sajkaj@amazon.com. Separately, I will be continuing my role as an Invited Expert in the Accessible Platform Architectures (APA) Working Group, and in APA's several task forces including Research Questions (RQTF), Pronunciation, and Personalization. As Chair of APA and liaison to APA's task forces, I will continue to serve in a vendor-neutral role as a W3C Invited Expert. I have discussed this with W3C staff. W3C allows and has precedent for individuals to represent different organizations. I am committed to keeping my roles in these groups distinct. I am further pleased to share that my colleague, Peter Korn, will also be joining AGWG as an Amazon representative. For those who don't know him, Peter is the Director of Accessibility for Amazon's Devices. He previously represented Oracle and Sun Microsystems in W3C accessibility activities, including contributions to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, and as one of the primary authors and editors of the WCAG Working Group note: "Guidance on Applying WCAG 2.0 to Non-Web Information and Communications Technologies (WCAG2ICT)."[1] Peter and I look forward to working with you all in the days and months to come.
