Hi Joachim, good to see that you have come across the RDF version of CDISC standards posted by the Semantic Technology, part of the FDA group for Emerging technologies. CDISC standardize Data Elements (variables), Datasets (domains) and Controlled Terminologies (i.e. text strings to be used in data elements as so called submission values). As said in the readme file "this project is to represent the existing CDISC standards in RDF, not to remodel the standards." The focus is on describing the Data Elements. And how Data Elements are related to Datasets and how they may use Permissible Values (using parts of the ISO11179 model as the metadata model schema). While the W3C HCLS LLD work has a less granular focus: Descriptions of Datasets, and not the included data elements. CDISC is represented by Landen Bain (cc:ed) in this FDA/PhUSE project and endorsed by Wayne Kubick, the CTO of CDISC. I hope the CDISC website will be updated with more information about this project. Good timing as this project will be presented at the annual CDISC Interchange conference next week. The readme document do not have the correct address to Phuse's website, it is http://www.phuse.eu/ (Thanks for the note, will be updated) For more information about the FDA projects on the PhUSE wiki see http://www.phusewiki.org/wiki/index.php?title=Emerging_Technologies Kind Regards Kerstin Forsberg AstraZeneca 2013/10/29 Joachim Baran <joachim.baran@gmail.com> > Hello, > > I came across https://github.com/phuse-org/rdf.cdisc.org on LinkedIn > and was wondering whether it is somewhat relevant to the LLD dataset > descriptors efforts -- in a clinical setting. > > The "readme.pdf" file, which is titled "FDA/PhUSE Semantic Technology > Project Represent Existing CDISC Standards in RDF", contains more > information about the project.
