Re: Book Chapter based on Amsterdam F2F

Just wanted to congratulate the authors on the chapter, and in continuing to lead the effort here in the constant pursuit of standards.

The potential for improved healthcare (at potentially lower costs) on one hand, and the acceleration of scientific discovery on the other, is immense. Communicating the benefits however (projecting forward) across the disciplines, not to mention the stakeholders, can be exceptionally challenging.

Please post a link when available and we will include mention and link in our newsletter that includes many decision makers in government and industry.

BTW- The ALS association has been working towards a national registry for several years and appear to be getting close- included in the FY 2008 Budget.
http://alsa-national.org Hopefully they will structure the data as envisioned here.

Cheers, Mark

The book chapter based on the Amsterdam F2F is attached with this e-mail.
We do have permission to display this on the HCLSIG website.

Ivan, please let me know what needs to be done to make that happen.

Cheers,
