Alyssa Wolf has just released a LSID RDF Browser plug-in for Firefox. [1] This x-platform Firefox plug-in is an alternative to using a purely web based resolver, like the one at lsid.biopathways.org [2]. Both are quite interesting to use against the NCBI's Entrez search. See the "Try it now" instructions for how to set up the LSID markup proxy up for the plugin or go here [3] to see how to configure it for the web based resolver. The code for both these resolvers, the LSID proxy and the LSID authorities for NCBI and gdb.org are all available as open source. Many thanks Alyssa. Software like this shows us all how easy it can be. Kindest regards, Sean [1] http://lsid.biopathways.org/lsid_browser/ [2] http://lsid.biopathways.org/resolver/ [3] http://lsid.biopathways.org/proxy/
