W3C has launched Patent Advisory Group for the Second Screen Working Group

Dear Second Screen Working Group,

As explained in July [0], in accordance with the W3C Patent Policy, W3C
has launched a Patent Advisory Group (PAG) to advise the W3C on patent
disclosures and exclusions from Apple, Inc. relating to the Open Screen
Application Protocol developed by the Second Screen Working Group:
    http://www.w3.org/TR/openscreen-application/

For information about these patent disclosures and exclusions, see:
   https://www.w3.org/2025/06/secondscreen-pag/#disclosures

And the PAG charter:
   https://www.w3.org/2025/06/secondscreen-pag/charter.html

Advisory Committee Representatives of W3C Member organizations
participating in the Second Screen Working Group should use the
following form to register participants from their organization:
   https://www.w3.org/wbs/74168/secondscreen-pag-2025/

We anticipate the first meeting of the PAG will take place around
mid-October. It will be announced on the public-secondscreen-pag@w3.org
mailing-list (Advisory Committee Representatives of W3C Member
organizations participating in the Second Screen Working Group will
receive messages sent to that list):
   https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-secondscreen-pag/

If you have any questions about this PAG, please contact the PAG Chair,
Rigo Wenning <rigo@w3.org> or myself.

For general information about PAGs, see section 7 of the W3C Patent
Policy [1]. For more information about procedures for launching and
operating a PAG, see [2].

François
