At least for the DIAL (and presumably HbbTV 2.0) use cases, closing the connection leaves the controlling page unable to terminate the presentation (which is possible via DIAL). So I think closing the connection immediately is actually not the right solution for those two. For the other use cases, it sounds like the presentation URL is transferred/navigated to another device, and there's no further control possible through the Presentation API.
