Spatial Data on the Web Interest Group now closed

Dear Advisory Committee Representative,
Chairs,
Spatial Data on the Web Interest Group Participants,

The Spatial Data on the Web Interest Group [1] is now closed.

The mission of the group was to (1) develop and maintain vocabularies 
and best practices that encourage better sharing of spatial data on the 
web and (2) identify areas where standards should be developed jointly 
by both W3C and OGC.

The work continues in the Spatial Data on the Web Working Group [2].

W3C thanks the group’s Chairs, Linda van den Brink (Geonovum), Jeremy 
Tandy (Met Office) and all the participants in the group for their efforts.
