Next F2F meeting at W3C TPAC - 22-23 October 2018

Hello Spatial Data on the Web Interest Group participants,

Our next face-to-face meeting will be during W3C TPAC (22-26 October 2018) in Lyon, France. The group itself will have its two-day F2F meeting on Monday and Tuesday that week (*).

I prepared a dedicated meeting page, linked from the group's home page:
https://www.w3.org/2017/sdwig/meetings/f2f-3.html

TPAC registration is not yet available as I write this email, but it should open soon (early registration and hotel booking are encouraged).
The agenda is empty for the time being. To be filled out before the meeting.

For those of you more familiar with OGC, W3C TPAC happens once per year and is basically the same thing as an OGC TC meeting, with F2F meetings of various groups and lots of opportunities for networking. I would encourage you to stay the whole week if you can, and in particular to attend the Plenary Day on Wednesday:
https://www.w3.org/wiki/TPAC/2018

The Plenary Day is organized as "camp-style" breakout sessions. Anyone can propose breakout sessions. It is a good idea to propose session ideas in advance:
https://www.w3.org/wiki/TPAC/2018/SessionIdeas
(it's still empty for now, but see last year's proposed sessions for example: https://www.w3.org/wiki/TPAC/2017/SessionIdeas)

Thanks,
Francois.

(*) Our F2F was initially scheduled on Thursday and Friday but this would have collided with the F2F of the Dataset Exchange Working Group, so I asked TPAC organizers to switch our meeting to the beginning of the week, as agreed during our meeting last week.
