Hi all, This Thursday we have what could be the **last** plenary meeting of the Spatial Data on the Web working group. Time flies, and the end of the charter is coming up fast – it expires October 4th! Therefore, we will have a plenary session to discuss: 1. Future work arrangements for SD-WG activities 2. Issues to resolve and timeline for final publication of WebVMT and Spatial Data on the Web Best Practice (update) #1 is needed because of imminent charter expiry. Options could be: (a) extend the charter for a few months, and (b) commute SDW to an OGC working group (maybe part of Geosemantics?) and establish an organisational MoU between OGC and W3C for information exchange and dual-publishing. #2 about the publications: The SDW Best Practices and WebVMT documents are both scheduled for Tuesday 19 September. The reason they couldn't be published this week is that there is a publication moratorium because of TPAC. The do-it-yourself publication system with Echidna (which is not subject to moratoriums) didn't work for these two, because one has a non-standard copyright (joint copyright OGC-W3C) and the other is a first publication. The webmaster has now added the SDW BP note to the list of copyright exceptions. Which means that for both documents, if we publish them again, we can use Echidna. We hope to see you all this Thursday! Linda & Jeremy Chairs of the SDWWG
