Thank you to the I18N working group for their comments, which were entered individually in the GitHub tracker as issues #885-#890.
I believe we have been able to deal with all of these except #886. #889 is trivial so I've closed that. The others I've pushed back to https://github.com/aphillips for review.

I've sent a separate mail about #886.
