As we saw in the ssn meeting this morning I am deeply concerned that the discussion this morning seemed to be both assuming and asserting matters of fact concerning the relationship between ssn and sosa (including, for example, the long term existence of an alignment) and that if these assertions are making it impossible for ssn to import its own core. Furthermore, these assertions entirely ignored the very significant and extensive input on this topic made on the mailing list by members not present in the meeting. I would appreciate some attention to the design of the interaction between ssn and sosa in general. I believe this can be done very cleanly and that we are rapidly running towards a cliff of mess from which we cannot recover. Note that this relates to issue-115, issue-139, issue-88 and many others. Getting it right *will* require changes to ssn, to sosa, and the dul and any other alignments and this needs to be factored in. -Kerry
