Hello Spatial Data on the Web Working Group participants, This Call for Consensus passed with no concerns raised so I will work with the Editors and Chair to obtain the Director's approval to publish the Time Ontology in OWL specification as a Proposed Recommendation. Thanks! Francois. -----Original Message----- From: Francois Daoust [mailto:fd@w3.org] Sent: Thursday, August 17, 2017 10:03 AM To: public-sdw-wg@w3.org Cc: eparsons@google.com; Scott Simmons <ssimmons@opengeospatial.org>; Simon.Cox@csiro.au; chris.little@metoffice.gov.uk Subject: Call for Consensus: request publication of Time Ontology in OWL as Proposed Recommendation Hello Spatial Data on the Web Working Group participants, This is a Call for Consensus (CfC) to request publication of the current Editor's Draft of the Time Ontology in OWL specification as a W3C Proposed Recommendation (PR). The staged PR snapshot is at: https://w3c.github.io/sdw/time?specStatus=PR;previousMaturity=CR;previousPublishDate=2017-06-06;publishDate=2017-08-31;prEnd=2017-09-29;crEnd=2017-07-04;implementationReportURI=https://www.w3.org/2015/spatial/wiki/OWL_Time_Ontology_adoption Goal is to keep features that had been identified as being at risk, even though these features are not yet widely implemented, because there is some evidence of early adoption for these features and because these features are needed for the ontology to cater for all possible use cases. The only change introduced since publication as a Candidate Recommendation was to fix the prov alignment. The Status of This Document section will be adjusted as needed before publication, in particular to replace the note on features at risk with a short paragraph that explains why these features are being preserved. The "exit criteria" section will also be removed. Please let us know if you have any concerns by next Thursday 24 August 2017. Silence is considered consent. Actual publication of the Proposed Recommendation would happen one or two weeks after the end of this call for consensus, provided it is successful and provided the W3C Director approves the publication. Scott, I do not know whether there are things required from an OGC perspective for that transition to happen. I let you chime in as needed! Thanks, Francois, W3C team contact
