I don’t read this statement in the FPWD text, but that text could be more clear that SSN may be applying SWE standards to the Semantic Web, but isn’t replacing them by any means. There are also both encoding and interface standards in SWE standards suite, and SSN primarily relates to to the encoding standards. Josh > In the introduction of the SSN FPWD it says it can be regarded as a modern replacement for OGC's Sensor Web Enablement standards.
