Right, that was the question. So yeah, since that doesn't work then I agree
doing the copy before entering prose makes the most sense.

A bit annoying to spec in IDL, and presumably to implement in bindings, but the
end result will be a very usable system for spec authors (and I doubt web
developers will notice a difference).
