Thanks for the explanation. I certainly don't want an extra copy. I'm still a
little confused though. Is the idea that implementations are only able to call
into the graphics driver once? They can't detach/hand to graphics driver,
continue running argument conversions (including potential user code), and then
go back into the graphics driver and make use of the buffer?
