Hi all, you've probably seen the release of Tizen recently. One thing that it adds is rather close to the core: support for timezones for Dates as a TZDate object: https://developer.tizen.org/help/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.samsung.tizen.web.help.apidocument%2Ftizen%2Ftime.html This is something that's come up previously as a problem in other situations (e.g. DAP's work on a Calendar API). This is probably something for which it would be useful to have common support for. I don't however know where that work ought to fall.
