Hi all,

you've probably seen the release of Tizen recently. One thing that it adds is rather close to the core: support for timezones for Dates as a TZDate object:


This is something that's come up previously as a problem in other situations (e.g. DAP's work on a Calendar API). This is probably something for which it would be useful to have common support for.

I don't however know where that work ought to fall. Is this something that TC-39 has looked into?
