Here's a typical example of JATS in the wild . Note one disclosure is in the <body> and the other two in the <back> :-): Clearly "Disclosure Statement" is uncontrolled. I assume the @fn-type is also uncontrolled? (but I haven't read the spec...). *I* have to capture these and I will try to see if regexes + xpath can tame this. But this is one of many sections that are on the borderline of needing systematisation. <quote>
<title>Disclosure Statement</title> <p>The views expressed in this article are those of the authors and do not reflect the official policy or position of the Kingdom of Cambodia, U.S. Department of Defense, or the Department of the Navy.</p>
</body> <back> <fn-group> <fn fn-type="conflict"> <p>The authors have declared that no competing interests exist.</p> </fn> <fn fn-type="financial-disclosure"> <p>This study was supported by National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant AI069145 (to SCW) and NIH contract HHSN272201000040I/HHSN27200004/D04 (to RBT). ADH was supported by <snip/> Surveillance and Response System. The funders had no role in study design, data collection and analysis, decision to publish, or preparation of the manuscript.</p> </fn> </fn-group> -- Peter Murray-Rust Reader in Molecular Informatics Unilever Centre, Dep.
