I see your delay and raise you several months. :)

Yeah, I think a class comparison would be good.  I think we'd want to:
a) Make sure there are not strong incompatibilities
b) Have some references on both sides to explain the relationship (like
maybe in docs for the SportsTeam or something like that)

We've been talking about this in the context of other schema as well and
figuring out how to allow schema.org to be extended in a lightweight
manner.  Do you wanna open up a schema.org issue about this on github?
That might be the best way to track this specific thread.
