Clinical Research schema (UPDATE)

To continue a brief conversation started in September 2020, re ECRIN’s metadata schema for clinical research (Facilitating European Clinical Research | ECRIN<https://ecrin.org/>), we have

  1.  Updated the schema itself – now at version 5.0 – please see The ECRIN Metadata Schemas - ECRIN-MDR Wiki (ecrin-mdr.online)<https://ecrin-mdr.online/index.php/The_ECRIN_Metadata_Schemas> and associated Metadata Schema pages on the ECRIN MDR wiki.
  2.  Updated and greatly expanded the documentation around the ETL processes – please see Data Collection Overview - ECRIN-MDR Wiki (ecrin-mdr.online)<https://ecrin-mdr.online/index.php/Data_Collection_Overview> and associated Data Extraction pages on the ECRIN MDR wiki
  3.  Implemented a new multi-lingual portal, (though it is still in development), currently at MetaData Repository | ECRIN<http://51.210.99.18/>
The metadata schema should – we hope – be relatively stable now. Amongst the planned developments is the mapping of organisations in the system to ROR Ids (ROR<https://ror.org/>) so far as we can.
Investigation of possible mappings of the ECRIN schema, to Schema.org entities and DCAT properties, is on the ‘to do’ list, but not likely to take place until early 2021.
