hydrology domain

I see that there is some information to describe water bodies under Thing >
Place > Landform. I was thinking if we may enhance this to include water
resources data (long and short term) and  several data visualization
techniques used in the domain. Perhaps make a wider domain of water and
work under that (Thing > water).

I'm new to schema.org and not sure if this is the right way to initiate
discussion. If this isn't I'm sorry and will be grateful if you may point
me to the right forum. My interest is in hydrology, particularly sharing
water resources (quantity and quality) data.  I'm hoping that through this
form we will be able to create schema for water resources portals.
