I've chatted to some of the team, and they seem to be friendly, engaging
folks

Bluesky will likely take a few years to complete, and they are, sensibly,
doing an ecosystem review to begin with

Solid is one of the frameworks they have looked at, so far

I believe the first focus is on identity and social network portability

Here's the research on identity, which includes WebID (I've added it to our
wiki)

https://gitlab.com/bluesky-community1/decentralized-ecosystem/-/blob/master/topics/identity.md

Ultimately they will want to create a sort-of read/write web centered
around conversations, but without necessarily one central authority

I also think Kingsley's solution is where they will end up, it will be
interesting to see!
