Re: Maphub -- RWW meets maps

FWIW, the University of Oxford has an 800th Birthday coming up soon.

The geo coordinates, founding dates etc. for the Colleges and Halls are
available on the University site.  The lo-res sunrise and sunset data is
available in spreadsheets at http://www.esrl.noaa.gov/gmd/grad/solcalc/calcdetails.html

My offering has some *cough* complete lack of artistic promise and bandwidth crushing size *cough* limitations, but I had fun :-)  It would be nice to see this *cough* done well *cough* duplicated.

Interesting work. It's a way to go for linking OpenStreetMap data and Wikimapia data with Wikipedia and each other etc.. I don't know the state of play with how OpenStreetMap or Wikimapia are currently doing this, but I like to think that someone at the recent Maptember events in Nottingham, UK hopefully does and might provide some feedback...

Thanks,

Andy
