yes, that is important to note! Early bird is $45 per day or such.

There are a few hotels listed here:

My guess is that there are many hotels a lot cheaper than the ones listed on the front page, that are clearly for business travellers. If people know of such it would be useful to add some pointers there. Lyon is not so big that one cannot take a small hotel in the centre and get to the conference ( a huge building ) easily.
