Meeting today

To the RQTF

Firstly, I'm very sorry about this but I will bean apology for the meeting. I have an urgent family matter to attend to this evening so will not be able to attend.

IN terms of my contribution - the only thing I thought might be helpful to add to the conversation is that I feel this is a similar situation to the one Judy and I worked on when we kickstarted the guidance on the accessibility of remote meetings - it was a time-sensitive topic with a lot of different views, and we were aware that several people involved in the area both in WAI and externally may not have had an opportunity to contribute due to the speed n which the guidance was being created although every effort was taken at the time to include a wide range of views and academic research. To solve the issue, we put out the 1PWD fairly quickly so that we could get the feedback that identified key literature that was missing and ensure that all the voices could be included as quickly as possible and the Note was stronger for it. I appreciate this approach did tread on some toes, but it did ensure we found out quickly what we needed to add in and managed to get public feedback in a timely manner on what was a rapidly changing situation. SO looking at our AI work, I see similar processes and some parallels that hopefully can help contribute to the conversation. I'm very excited about where the work is going and if any actions come up where I can contribute please feel free to put me down for them.

Thank you all,

Scot.
