To the RQTF Hope all is well with everyone Ahead of our Wednesday meeting, please find a link below to the early draft of guidance related to the accessibility of machine learning and generative AI. I've attached the document here but if the attachment doesn't come through the list, you can also access it at; Link: https://accessibilitynew-my.sharepoint.com/:w:/g/personal/scott_hollier_accessibility_org_au/EWWQdSAGpZ5KnBMf3ilejIgBSspakxrfnQxWHIWy6Fm6-Q?rtime=bya0NvSU3Eg Few notes: * Looking at the minutes there was some debate around whether we should focus on the use of the terms machine learning or generative AI. I've found that both terms are useful and immediately identifiable but by different groups depending on whether its more consumer-based or research-based, so I've put both in the title eh and found both terms useful * I've only reference WCAG, ATAG and UAAG at the moment but a number of our Notes would be highly applicable so I'd see this as something to include * There's no abstract yet - I'm sure this will change dramatically so figure it's too early to do so * I've focused on three parts of the conversation - how current AI processes can address digital access issues, how AI may be able to assist in our reporting and evaluation processes, and what AI could potentially do to support digital access in a web context in the future, a bit like how some of our AUR documents include use cases that may not be implemented yet, but the guidance could provide support in the future. So please review and will look forward to discussing on Wednesday. Scot.
