ISSUE-30: What is the definition of rif:uri? http://www.w3.org/2005/rules/wg/track/issues/30 Raised by: Deborah Nichols On product: Technical Design Issue: What is the definition of rif:uri? Raised by: Deborah Nichols, on behalf of the RIF WG Chairs At F2F5, it was resolved that "Any sort defined in Core MUST BE identified by a URI" (see List of Resolutions, http://www.w3.org/2005/rules/wg/wiki/FrontPage). Specifically, sorts in RIF will be identified by rif:uri's. At F2F5, several questions arose as to how rif:uri should be defined. Following an extended discussion, and in order not to delay the completion of the RIF Core Design, the group decided to defer the definition of rif:uri until a later date. This allows more time for consideration of several issues about how rif:uri should be defined. In the meantime, the Working Draft will use rif URI as a placeholder. These issues will be detailed below. (See IRC Record: http://www.w3.org/2007/02/27-rif-minutes.html#action06, for a record of the original discussion.) Related email threads [to be linked]
