Just a thought ...
Would it be useful to have a status page that summarized the roadmap for
what we want to get done by the end of this phase and where we are with it?
It seems to me the action and issue lists, whilst helpful, are quite
fine grained and unstructured so it can be hard to see the wood for the
trees.
It also seems like there are chunks of work which need to get done but
I'm not sure exactly how they are owned or tracked. Examples include:
- metadata architecture
- human readable syntax (status, generation from ASN, tighter
specification)
- OWL compatibility (as distinct from RDF compatibility which I
have a better handle on)
- test cases
For example, specifically on the latter one whilst I took the action to
generate the initial page, which Gary has helped update following
discussions at Innsbruck, it's not clear to me what goals we have for
this and what the timescales might be.
No doubt the chairs have a plan :-) but perhaps writing that plan down
in succinct shared form would be helpful.
This might be pointless process-geek make-work or might be useful. Don't
know but I thought it worth mentioning just in case.
