At today's face to face the issue [1] based on my earlier comments on the requirements in the use case document [2] was discussed. For part #3 of that issue I had suggested that the requirement "XML types" could do with rephrasing because I found "information types" too vague. I had suggested the rephrasing: [[[ XML Types RIF must support an appropriate set of scalar datatypes and associated operations as defined in XML Schema part 2 and associated specifications. ]]] Rather than adopt this during the telecon we agreed that this suggestion should be reposted to give the WG time to consider it before adoption/rejection at the next telecon. So there it is. Note that this suggestion is precisely as in the original email from June and as recorded in the issue, no changes were suggested during today's telecon.
