Hi Leora, I made some small edits as below, e.g. linking directly to the actual coverage requirement and dropping the final sentence (that "formulation" process is explained in detail in section 5). Please let me know if this sounds okay. David *** Original: Note that certain requirements, including some of those specified in the charter (including supporting named arguments and Horn Logic as a semantics) are not explicitly mentioned in the list below. It is intended that these requirements will be incorporated into the Rulesystem Arrangement Framework (RIFRAF). The umbrella requirement, mentioned in this section, that RIF cover the set of languages in the RIFRAF, thus will entail the entire set of requirements implicit in the RIFRAF. The precise formulation of these requirements will occur as the RIFRAF is developed. Edit: Note that certain requirements, including some of those specified in the charter (e.g. named arguments and Horn Logic as a semantics) are not explicitly mentioned in the list below. It is intended that these requirements will be incorporated via the Rulesystem Arrangement Framework (RIFRAF). The umbrella requirement, Rule language coverage, will thus entail the entire set of requirements implicit in the RIFRAF. ________________________________ From: public-rif-wg-request@w3.org [mailto:public-rif-wg-request@w3.org] On Behalf Of Leora Morgenstern Sent: Tuesday, June 27, 2006 4:17 PM To: public-rif-wg@w3.org Subject: Clarifying paragraph regarding RIFRAF at beginning of requirements section As requested at this morning's meeting, I've added a short paragraph at the beginning (second paragraph) of the requirements section, explaining that certain requirements have been deferred to the development of the RIFRAF. The changes can be seen at http://www.w3.org/2005/rules/wg/wiki/UCR/Requirements . Best regards, Leora
