At the last f2f we agreed to a schedule for releasing the next WD of the UCR document more-or-less by the end of the month of June. As the schedule works out, this puts the WG vote (to release the UCR as second WD) on July 4. Since we expect most americans will not attend that meeting (major vacation holiday), and since we would like to have the vote then to meet our W3C "heartbeat" requirement, we agreed at the last telecon to the following process: IF YOU DON NOT PLAN TO ATTEND the 4 July telecon, you have until next Friday, 30 June, to post a review of the proposed WD (which is to be finalized by this Tuesday). If the result of your review is negative, e.g. you would object to the document being published as 2cnd WD, you must state this clearly at the start of your review. These email reviews are not votes, but if we get any such (negative) reviews, we will postpone the vote for a week in order to have time to discuss it. -CC&S -- Dr. Christopher A.
