Some comments to the Use Cases and suggestions for possible section renaming. 2.1. Information Integration -> Merging of Multiple Sources of Information > Two primary integration techniques are possible: importing the > different rulesets into a single engine and processing them in a > uniform manner, or accessing the rulesets by querying remote engines > and processing the results. Each modality has its uses and > contra-indications. I thought that this case is not only about integration of different rulesets, but also other representations, eg, OWL, RDF. The main role of rules here is an explicit representation of transformation from various (possibly remote) representations into a local, uniform one. The next paragraph (the job seeker scenario) can be dropped. Some example of rules would be helpful. 2.2. Decision Support -> Rule Application for Decision Support 2.3. Cross-Platform Rule Development and Deployment 2.4. Policy-Based Transaction Authorization and Access Control 2.5. Interchange of Human-oriented Business Rules 2.6. Publication -> Publication of Conditional Factual Information 2.7. Third Party Rule-Interchange Services 2.8. Rich Knowledge Representation -> Extending Knowledge Representation Regards, Igor
