Dear RIF implementors, We would like to move RIF to the next step (that is: proposed recommendation) as soon as possible. Therefore, we need to evaluate the existing implementations, since our criterion is based on them: we would appreciate folks who have something running sending us their test results from time to time (that is, wrt the RIF test suites [1]). We would be glad if, before November 13, you could let us know, either the results of your tests, if you gave it a try already; or when you expect to do tests if you did not do them already. That will help us check if our timeline is feasible (our target is to move the RIF specifications to proposed recommendations before the end of the month). Another information that would be most helpful is the list of data types and builtins from DTB that you do not implement (or that you do implement, whichever is shortest): that will help us evaluate RIF-DTB's status wrt implementation. We've also defined a simple XML format for submitting test results, to help us assess both the quality of the implementations and the quality of the test suite (including the proposed tests). Details: http://www.w3.org/2005/rules/wiki/Test#Reporting_Test_Results Thanks to everyone who is giving this a try. One last thing: we have started a developers forum: public-rif-dev@w3.org Best regards, Christian de Sainte Marie, on behalf of the W3C RIF WG [1] http://www.w3.org/TR/rif-test [2] http://www.w3.org/2005/rules/test/repository/ ILOG, an IBM Company 9 rue de Verdun 94253 - Gentilly cedex - FRANCE Tel. +33 1 49 08 35 00 Fax +33 1 49 08 35 10 Sauf indication contraire ci-dessus:/ Unless stated otherwise above: Compagnie IBM France Siège Social : 17 avenue de l'Europe, 92275 Bois-Colombes Cedex RCS Nanterre 552 118 465 Forme Sociale : S.A.S.
