Accessibility Conformance Testing (ACT) Rules Format 1.0 https://www.w3.org/TR/2017/WD-act-rules-format-1.0-20170406/ Abstract The Accessibility Conformance Testing (ACT) Rules Format 1.0 is a specification designed to harmonize how accessibility rules are described for automated test tools, and how test procedures are written for quality assurance testing. By writing these tests in a defined format, organizations are better able to document and share their method of testing. A defined format for writing tests is the first step in enabling a harmonized approach for accessibility conformance testing. Status of the Document This section describes the status of this document at the time of its publication. Other documents may supersede this document. A list of current W3C publications and the latest revision of this technical report can be found in the W3C technical reports index at https://www.w3.org/TR/. This is a First Public Working Draft of Accessibility Conformance Testing Rules Format 1.0 (ACT Rules Format 1.0) by the Accessibility Guidelines Working Group. ACT Rules Format 1.0 is a complete draft, addressing all of the requirements the ACT Task Force believes are important to cover when writing rules. The ACT Rules Format 1.0 is based on rules developed by the Auto-WCAG Community Group. Does the ACT Rules Format address all the topics that are critical to rule design? Does the section on accessibility support adequately address the topic? Does the section on Accuracy Benchmarking adequately address the topic? Are there improvements to better support developers of test rules to transpose their rules and adopt this format? To comment, file an issue in the W3C ACT TF GitHub repository.
