Abstract


This specification defines an API that provides access to the vibration mechanism of the hosting device. Vibration is a form of tactile feedback.

The following editorial changes were made since the W3C Recommendation 10 February 2015 (diff): a privacy & security section was added based on risks of fingerprinting based on vibration the reference to WebIDL was updated the text has been aligned with the hook provided by latest Page Visibility API the term "browsing context" was clarified to refer to "top-level browsing context"
