See Benkler's "An Unhurried View of Private Ordering in Information Transactions," <http://www.benkler.org/UnhurriedView.pdf>. I might not agree with a lot of it, but it most certainly shows that it is not that simple. > Whining about a technology that exists because of demand does no-one > any good: if you want to see digital rights controls removed, go > fight that in the right forum. The purpose of this forum is "discuss and analyze methods of restricting access to or use of Web media, and their implementation on the open Web." So, while I find characterizations such as "whining" and "perpetuating myths" to be insulting and feedback along the lines of "go away" to be nonconstructive, I would say that this is probably an appropriate forum for discussions about approaches to restricting media and the legal, social, and ethical issues surrounding DRM. -- Joshua Gay Licensing & Compliance Manager Free Software Foundation www.fsf.org/licensing
