What is 'restricted media'?: What is 'restricting access to Web media'? There is no dispute that sever owners have a right to limit access to served content and there are non-DRM, unencumbered, open web technologies, already available to meet these needs. These should not be in scope for this group. I suggest that the term 'restricting access' communicates these use cases making the description of this group misleading, and thus the use of the term 'restricted media' for the title confused separate issues and is also misleading. What is 'restricting use of Web media'. I suggest that the only disputed technology is 'strong DRM' and that the title and purpose of this group should reflect this. Further, I would note that the proposed EME API does not technically limit the scope to media, and the CDM could well implement a complete HTML rendering engine, thus the restriction to 'media' is also misleading. cheers Fred
