Thank you for this generous offer. I see it as yet another reason why this
discussion, and this standards work, should remain within the W3C. I
appreciate that it is complex and thorny question, but the fact that we can
discuss it, document it, and analyze it as a global community in an open,
free (and patent & royalty free) manner illustrates the strengths and
benefits of keeping this work effort inside of the W3C, as opposed to
chasing it out of the W3C (to be continued in a closed industry-only space -
for it *will* continue unless a better solution can be proposed).
