Individual scripters or library/toolkit authors can very > easily implement something like that on top of the API. indeed they can, but I was thinking more about having this in native browser implementations, because they more than likely won't think to add a prefix/vocab/namespace solution - and if they find they need to, surely it would be beneficial to have this standardized across all browsers?
